By Ratler On September 16, 2014 · 1 Comment · In Announcements, Release Candidates, Releases

Dear all,

Some might have believed we were down for the count, but on the contrary we have actually been quite busy working on the core of Lunar (and with our lives). Four very long years has passed by since our last release. Yet there have been a few adventurous souls still brave enough to [...]

By wdp On May 19, 2014 · Leave a Comment · In the daily insanity

(original message by Auke (sofar) on the maillinglist)

as some of you know our current hosting solution will no longer be available to us in the future. We’re working on a temporary solution to prevent most services from becoming unavailable altogether, but we can’t foresee any issues with migration. So, please be prepared for any [...]

Moonbase Workflow

By v4hn On June 3, 2012 · Leave a Comment · In Uncategorized

As every developer has his own way of using git and developing lunar modules,
I think, it’s an appropriate first post to describe my basic workflow.

First of all my systems moonbase is the git-repository, instead of the default one.
So `lunar set MOONBASE` prints
MOONBASE=/var/lib/lunar/git-moonbase

While this allows instant integration of [...]

new 32bit chroot image

By wdp On April 1, 2012 · Leave a Comment · In the daily insanity

Just updated and uploaded a new image for use as a 32bit chroot – This is especially for those interesting, who want to use Lunar Linux in 64bit and need to run 32bit apps as well. Lunar Linux is not multilib and will, as it looks like, never be multilib (but never say never, so). [...]

Future use of MAINTAINER= in DETAILS

By wdp On March 17, 2012 · Leave a Comment · In the daily insanity

Currently we aren’t using the MAINTAINER= flag correctly in Lunar. I’d even go that far and say, we don’t care about that flag and we simply ignore it. With the new separation (stable / unstable) this will change:
