Depending on your configuration any linux distro can run without a initrd (initramfs). We just didn’t provide an out-of-the-box solution for people that required an initrd, but we do now.

i would like to bring up an idea about git support.

maybe it would be possible to add something like GITSOURCE so that lunar can make the same project but from a git source instead of the stable version?

is this idea worthwile?

it would be the first distro able to build from git?

maybe better to ask on the mailing list?
